Right Shoulder Surgery - Thursday, January 08, 2004 10:17 AM
Does anyone have suggestions on how to bring your arm back up to size and strength after it has been operated on. I had it operated on last February and had to take 2 months off before getting back to the gym. The bicep and arm strength are coming back very slowly and not as quickly as I'd like. I try to do additional exercises and reps on the right arm to try and compensate but, it doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Keep bulking diet in mind. Do the same thing to both sides of the body, and you should start getting back to normal. Don't up the weight wen you are trying to get that arm back to size. Keep it the same. because other wise the good arm will continue to gain more than the other.

Your doing thing the right way... start with the right (weak) do 10 reps, then do the left (strong) 8 reps. It'll come with time. Good luck and happy recovering... Being a 2 time shoulder winner myself, be happy it was only 2 months from the gym. The doctor started letting me run at 2 months... weights were out of the question until 5 months. Key here is to stay out from under that blade again, be careful. You are now playing by a different set of rules from everyone else. Good luck.
