Is 1 day in between the same muscle groups healthy? For example, working the biceps on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? Some people say take a week in between groups, some people say less. What do you guys think?

1 body part a week is more standard and of better benefit. That's what I say and recommend.

I do 4 day split. Upperbody = Monday, Thursday Lowerbody = Tuesday, Friday. I dont do things like "chest" "biceps" I make it simple, upper & lower. Every muscle group in the upperbody is worked out on that day, and every lower body muscle group is worked out on that day.

i guess for me it depends on the intensity, i used to work out every muscle group 3 times a week...BUT it was more like exercise, NOW i go real heavy on everything so i only do them once maybe twice a week..subject to change with my body....

I do once a week. I know I would never see the gains I've seen over the past few months if I'd done any more than that. Everyone I've ever known who worked out more than twice a week actually ended up hurting themselves, and never really made big gains along the way. Muscles need more than a day or two of rest if you're doing any heavy lifting, regardless of whether you're sore or not- A lot of people think that once the soreness goes away, their muscles are ready for another round. Fact is, our muscles are still rebuilding long after any soreness or stiffness disappears.

Most people I've come across who try to follow a routine like that do less exercises, sets and reps than they should be doing- I know I wouldn't have the energy to get through a thorough workout like that.
