Resistance training to burn fat

I am currently on the first week of my cut from 10% bf to 6-7%, I am just wondering if I can use a resistance training session to cut fat. I can't stand running and would like to get my heart pumping doing something I enjoy. I have noticed my heart rate quicken during resistance training but is this enough to substitute for cardio if I go to the gym 5 times a week? I also understand the power of resistance training in changing your bodies composition to more efficiently burn fat, but will run if need be.

If you want to get rid of boredom quick go to elitefts.com Buy yourself a Prowler. Put a lot of weight on it and push it until you puke. It's brutal.

Do your workout in supersets. No resting during the superset but rest for 2 mins between the supersets. Your heartrate will be through the roof and the sweat will be pouring out.

Instead of jogging try Racquetball or even Tennis. Personally I prefer Racquetball it's a great workout and I don't have to chase the ball as far.

You could try doing Olympic lifts with HIIT. Or Tabata.
