Ok, right now im happy with my body and my muscles. I dont want any bigger muscles because im afraid that it will slow down my times in cross country (however, everyone says i look like a football player, and cant believe i run cross country ) and also my cross country coach told me it wouldnt be a good idea to put on any more mass and still run effective. But anyways, if i dont work out, will i loose my muscle mass that i already have? should i do any lifting exercises just to remain constant? thanks for the help

There's nothing stopping you from continuing your weight training. Your coach is pretty much saying he doesn't want you to bulk up anymore so there's really no problem in just maintaining your current physique. If you happened stop your weight training, then you will obviously start to lose some of your mass. You should maybe change your routine to the cutting phase (increasing the reps, lowering the weight) to maintain your current mass that you have, avoiding doing any strenuous/heavy exercises. Although you will possibly lose some partial mass in time, it would only be a benefit to your performance on the track. (Try to think of it that way). You're lucky you have good genetics to be able to have a footballer's physique when you're also a cross country runner. Most people could only dream of that! lol
