Red PittBulls Journey back to Physical fitness.

Okay, so around the end of 2007 I was about 210 pounds 18 % BF. I joined this site and started working out till about march 08 I was lifting as seriously as I could. No cardio. No diet. Eh.. Minimal gains. I focused up after a while and seriously lost some of my fat and ended up looking much better. But still not good. No endurance. No cardio. No strength really. Then I sort of trickled off and have been laid off lifting for a little over a year. I had spurts where I'd come back go for a few weeks then stop again. Long story short I am now about six two, 235 pounds. 25% bodyfat. (unsure) So now I'm coming back with vengeance. I really don't care a whole lot about looks. But I really want to be faster, stronger, and more athletic. I'm going to try to do Cross fit 2-3 times a week. Hit circuits. Do sprints. Going to try a variance type thing. First work out of my new dedication was HIIT with Cleans. I did on 30, off 30 for ten or eleven minutes. The exact number was hard to keep up with the stress of the workout. It was ****ing brutal. Covered in sweat, heart pounding, legs aching. Oh, and as for diet I'm going to run DBB's official Paleolithic Diet tester. Well.. I'm trying it anyway. On to speed, power, and looking good. :)

I started paleo today. Are you doing fruits for carbs only? Instead of the 30/40/30 I am doing a 40f/40p/20c so I still get a decent amount of carbs, but not too many.

Fruits and veggies. I'm going to try 40/40/20 as well. If it doesn't work I'll add a little more carbs and take out some fat or protein. I was never good at the diet part and I'm going to try to see what works best for me. We'll see how it goes.

Okay diet today. Breakfast- had four eggs. Threw a little bit of cheese on there. Lunch- I ate some sort of country fried steak. Terrible for the diet but I didn't have enough time to fix something for lunch. I made sure to get double green beans though. Snack- Had a two carrots and an apple. Don't know what I'm doing for dinner. Not much to eat around here. I'll try to get something together. Going to do Crossfit today Push Press 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps. I'll post up poundages when I do it. I may do the DBB challenge as well.

Body Weight : 235. Comments: Damn I'm fat. Bench: 115 Pounds - 22 reps. Comments: I'm disappointed with myself. My chest is fried now. Rows: 115 Pounds- 27 reps. Comments: They were eaiser. Due to my large gut I had less distance to pull :P. It was hard because I was so tired from the bench. Wow. That was hard. To my delight directly afterwords I took my bar off the bench, for ****s and giggles I tried a clean and jerk. Well, a clean followed by a push press. Any way, highest I've ever clean and jerked. (I think) Definitely doing push press from crossfit after dinner.

Clean and press- 7 sets of One. - 105 Pounds Tried with 115, couldn't get it again, dropped ten pounds. Pretty good work out. My back and shoulders are feeling it. The cross fit was actually just push press but I had to clean the weight to push press position so I just made it clean and press. Cardio: Ran half a mile on the tread mill. Calves hurrrttt.

Idk about the diet. Keto might be the better option for me. I'm loving this CrossFit, you?

Perrynaytor Idk about the diet. Keto might be the better option for me. I'm loving this CrossFit, you? Yeah, its loads of fun. I've done it a couple times before I've started this Journal. I like the variety of things. I've gotten stronger too. Another thing that I think is great is HIIT but with Olympic lifts. I think you mentioned something about it in another thread.

Its good to talk to people with similar goals. Doing HIIT with them increased my form a lot as well. I'll be doing them later on most likely. Diet: Breakfast I had some eggs with a little less cheese then last time. Had to skip lunch. Dinner: Grilled Chicken and brown rice but the rice had loads of veggies, carrots pea's etc... Dammit! Cheated on the Paleo. Had to though. All I had. Need some groceries.

Tired from yesterday. I was going to do Cleans with HIIT. Couldn't get too far into it. Decided to take a rest today.

I'm six one and a half. Yeah, it is totally like a high. And diet, its sort of weird getting adjusted to it. Yesterday I got all this stuff out to make a sandwich, and remembered I'm not supposed to have bread. I'm thinking of Dropping the Paleo and just switching over to a regular Body Building Cut diet. We'll see.

Well, after looking around this site I've seen the huge Keto following, and what not. And I've decided I am going to try it. I'll run it until November. Thats a good 8 weeks. I'm gonna do a lot of HIIT and crossfit. If it goes well, I'll continue doing it for a little while longer.

I couldn't get enough calories on Paleo. Besides I am getting progressively stronger every day on keto. I wish it could be a long term diet, but the cramps are kicking me in the balls.

Maybe you should drink more water, or get more potassium?

I'm starting Keto Sunday. Today I threw down 8 minutes of cleans under HIIT. 30 on 30 off.

Power clean 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps with 105. Wasn't that hard. I noticed in the earlier sets my second pull wasn't great. I tried to fix it in the last couple. Did okay. I should've used more weight. That wasn't hard.

Perrynaytor **** keto. Carb cycling is probably going to be a better and healthier idea. I was thinking the same thing. Whats the point of being pretty shredded, if you don't live past forty? I'm just gonna cut out my soda, and fatty type stuff. Haha.
