RPB,
How long does a circuit take?  Are you sweating and heart going?  Is it like HIIT?  Good workin' out!  :)

I really don't know how long it takes. I'll time it today. I'm going for two circuits today! Lol.

And oh yeah, sweat, heart beating. Sorta like HIIT I guess.

And thanks J. :)

10 romanian deadlifts
10 bent over rows
10 hang cleans
10 front squats
10 push presses

First circuit. No rests between excercises.

Took a HUGE rest. Like 5-10 minutes. Restarted. Got through hang cleans and sat down. Took another pretty big rest and finished it out.

God ****ing dammit! I wanted to get it all done with two minutes rest. Sigh. Progress is progress I guess.

I hope your reading this Brihead! I hate you for posting that. Haha

I haven't posted in a while, I've been doing pretty regular workouts though. Anyway, on to more exciting news.

There is a pretty good MMA gym in town now. I'll probably be joining in the next two to three weeks. I'm absolutely ****ing stoked too! :)

Did I say weeks? I meant months. Hahaha.

Complications arose causing the MMA thing to be put on hold.

However, first lesson is tomorrow.

Thanks guys :)

First day was today. Hardest thing I've EVER done. I'm a pretty big guy but the coaches said I was mobile for my size. We did a lot of stretching which sucked because I'm very rigid. Then every guy had to count out 50 sit ups. The total was 450 after all nine of us there had done it. A lot of calisthenics, six inches, etc.. Then they taught me some basic positions like mount, side mount, and how to go between them how to buck a guy off you. Interesting stuff! Going back on Thursday. I'm super excited. According to the scale there I was 220 at the end of practice. I think the electronic scale at my house is crap because it says I'm 235... Either way I'm terribly sore, but extremely satisfied.

Gotta remember, I'm probably 20% body fat though. Lol.

TONS of work man. I'm sore as hell. I can't move without whimpering. Fun as hell though. Bought my cup and mouth piece today. Cups.. are a weird thing. Not sure I like it. But hell, better then getting hit in the balls.

Oh it definitely is doing something lol. The cup I bought has compression shorts with a slot in it for the cup to go in it. I'll update the journal after every practice. I'll pay more attention to try to include specific exercises and stuff.

Cotto paqiou (however its spelled) Will be very very interesting. Their styles contrast. Manny wants to use his speed and precision to try to knock Cotto out with extremely fast hands. Cotto on the other hand likes to bully guys in a ring, toss them into the ropes and smash them. Cotto is really large for his weight class as well.

I think Manny will probably take this one, though I don't really like either fighter, I just hope its a good match. Either way I'll get an exciting watch. :)

Oh man.. I'm so ****ing TIRED. My abs. Oh dear.

This time everyone sat down, and counted out one hundred sit ups. There were eight of us. I was already sore. In short, I farted just now and almost cried. Lol.

Did a lot of movement stuff. Showed me knees, keeping your stance right, jabs and crosses. Tons of stuff.

As I read this, I'm sucking down a coke. :( Sorry.

Yeah I wasn't about to not show up. Great thing is I feel great today. Even though last night after practice, I could barely move. This morning I woke up fine. I'm going to a more advanced class today. The other days have been run by assistant type guys, today is going to be ran by the Head Coach. He's had 20+ Years of experience in different fighting arts. So I'm pretty pumped.

Just got back from Practice. The 'Master' showed up to day. God this guy knows his stuff. He showed me all this stuff man. Five different arm bar and all the escapes. Rolling out all sorts of awesome stuff.

This guy I was sparring with rolled for an arm bar, almost broke my damn nose.

FUN STUFF

Yeah, I was 236.

I think a young age would be great. I went to a grappling tournament one time, and watched these kids who were probably seven or eight throwing down. Catching each other in chokes.... pretty cool.

Learned positions like turtle, how to avoid chokes, a cool way to pull off an armbar, and a shin choke.

I'm expecting (once I get my diet right) To end up dropping about thirty pounds in the next 6-8 months.

Practice was good today, lot of hard stretches, sit ups, then we hit the bag. I learned push kicks and some good Knee combinations...

Lol the first day I was there we did 450 sit ups. The next day was 800. We did 800 yesterday too, I'm used to it now, doesn't even bother me.

We'll be doing weight lifting in practice but not till next week because a guy in my gym has a fight this weekend.

I'm studying all around MMA. Striking, Jujitsu, wrestling, everything.

Great practice today. Learned a bunch of escapes. It really ties into the submissions I learned on Friday and Saturday. I did catch a guy in a Guillotine today, but it was very sloppy. Lol.
