it depends on the store tho, if its a franchised store then they wont honor/have the same prices on these products that the corporate stores will. Just a little heads up

Just got this today. I have to say, the fruit punch is one of the tastiest supplements I've ever had. Literally tastes like I'm drinking fruit punch. Thanks smoundz.

Smoundzou, Bought 3 jars today (2 fruit punch and 1 grape). Thanks! Walmart has Body Fortress Super Advanced Creatine High Performance everyday price similar to the GNC on sale. Similar profile. Question: I take 1 scoop pre workout and 1 post workout. That's about 12g of creatine. Is that too much? I'm just following the directions. P.S. Last time I bought the Body Fortress stuff at Walmart I paid $14.53 for 30 servings (3.17 lb ctr). That would be 48c/svg. The GNC is $7.99 on sale (1/2 off + 20% off Gold Card) for 20 servings (2 lb ctr). That would be 40c/svg. So the GNC is a very good deal. However it looks like paying retail for anything at GNC would be very foolish. ;)

interesting i was at gnc a couple of days ago and i just went to look at it; swear the label was different and it said only to take 1 serving a day where online it said 2. What do you guys think of creatine on a cut anyway?

I don't think it's necessary to load creatine or take more than 5 or so grams a day.. So If it were me I would just take one scoop 30 minutes before working out.. PumaKrieg.. creatine is fine for a cut.. you may retain a little water but not enough to make a difference.. plus it gives you a little extra drive during your workout from being in a caloric deficit..

You'll piss out more than 5g really. Interesting smoundzou, I've always thought creatine would be bad for cuts seeing you would gain water weight (usually). I've been considering adding in mono to my workouts seeing I'm drained from the caloric deficit, maybe I'll try it.

I've been considering adding in mono to my workouts seeing I'm drained from the caloric deficit, maybe I'll try it. When you start to get down into the single digits you may want to cycle off for a few weeks. But honestly.. when in a caloric deficit the creatine actual does help with energy... You're going to retain some water but not enough to make a difference, again, until single digits..

but isnt it supposed to help with adding muscle mass yet that is nearly impossible in a caloric deficit so wouldnt that ruin half the point of taking it?

I believe, although I could be wrong. It has something to do with creatine phosphate (please correct me if I'm wrong). Creatine phosphate can be broken down by your anaerobic metabolism to make ATP, giving you longer workouts. I've noticed an increase in duration of my workouts when on creatine, so maybe that's it.

Yeah the muscles need ATP in order to contract and during a workout when you run out of ATP in that muscle, the body takes the creatine phosphate to form the ATP, thus helping you last longer in your sets. Anyone familiar with Kre alkalyn? I've been on it for a while and had great results. It does not convert to the waste product creatinine, has no bloating, and no loading or cycling necessary b/c it all gets absorbed. I would definitely recommend it.

So I was right about how creatine is used? For more ATP production? I thought that's what it was, the body only stores about 10-12 seconds worth ATP at a time.

yeah, because the body is constantly using ATP for even the smallest contractions and can only produce a certain amount and when that supply is depleted, your body goes to the creatine phosphate to change ADP to ATP to allow these contractions.

Just take one scoop after and that is all. There is much better evidence of creatine absorption after a workout than before. The body is starved and will suck down anything you give it. You might not get the very minimal energy boost but that can be had otherwise, like eating a meal an hour beforehand.

I bought a crapload of Gatorade G on sale at Costco a few weeks back. Think I'll use that up pre-w/o and keep the creatine to 5g/day. Why on earth do they put HFCS in that stuff? Is it a cheaper ingredient? Anyone know of a good carb punch powder (dextrose preferably) that is cheap and doesn't have creatine in it? I'll try to eat a good meal an hour before w/o. Thanks!
