R-ALA Supplementation - Sunday, September 24, 2006 11:25 AM
i know everyones gonna say read the bottle, but ive been looking into this lately and it looks pretty good.  it increases creatine absorption and it partitions nutrients away from fat.  if i were to buy 200mg caps, how should i take them?  i see some people take it according to the bottle, others take it when they eat a lot of carbs.  so i basically, whats the best way to take it, and is it really that great?

200mg pwo would be a good place to start. You may also like breakfast as well.

I have found good results from using 2 capsules of DS Glucophase PWO.  Very effective for glycogen

And when I can remember I take one capsule with meals to control the rise in blood sugar from a high carbo meal-

I took ALA 300mg for awhile while i was on bulk creatine mono and it seemed to have some added affect..Its main function is to help with creatine uptake and acts as a fat and water soluble antioxidant..some ppl say it has anti aging properties....who knows.

hmmmm.......you are talkin about alpha lipioc acid right? and if you look at the cell tech label it only states Alpha Lipoic acid 200mg. So whats with the R-ala and S-ala?jw
