Questions about terms used here

Hi guys, I'm still fairly new and everyday i learn/hear a new term that i'm not quite sure about it. So here goes 1) In the supplements subthread I see the word "Stack" used. What does this mean and what can you tell me about it? 2) With workouts, I hear stuff like 3 on 1 off, what does that mean exactly? Separate question 1) A pretty buff dude told me that his friend developed kidney stones from not drinking enough water while taking whey protein. Is this true? Can that really happen?

Can that really happen? 1: When people refer to their stack, they are simply referring to their various supplements. 2: 3 on 1 off means: 3 consecutive days of training followed by 1 day off. 3: It has never been medically documented. So, no. but it's always a good idea to get plenty of water.

What he said. But as far as the stones are concerned, those can be caused by many things, I'd say whey contributed about as much as I have to global warming.

It would be very helpful to the new guys here if someone could define the more common terms used. I am sure for the more experienced people the meaning is apparent but for many of us they can be confusing.

Thanks Chris. Well, for me it would be the whole Bodybuilding for Idiots thing, just about all the terms. Examples, "cutting" "cut", just what constitutes a "rep" and sadly the list goes on and on. Understanding exactly what the terms mean and how they are intended would be very valuable information.
