I don't know if it will help you get gains or not but it is a healthy choice either way. I am currently trying to quit chewing tobacco. Good luck to you I hope you are successful!

I can say as my teen years I was really one of those kids that wanted to "fit in" or "be cool". Personally it was easy for me to get off, I realized theres more things in life then being mister cool or just smoking. In your situation I try giving up a cigarette each day so you don't develop serious cravings.

ORIGINAL: PureNatural In your situation I try giving up a cigarette each day so you don't develop serious cravings. I'm with PureNatural here. Before I got into this sport, I smoked more than 2 packs a day - 46 coffin nails on average. Quite obvious that it doesn't go well with bodybuilding, so I started cutting 10% each week. Right now, I smoke about 17 a day. Still too much, I know. But in 17 weeks from now on I will hit zero. I have tried quitting so many times and always got back to it in no time at all. This time, I have a very, very good reason, and I'm doing it the smart way. Don't stop smoking at once - your brain will do anything to get the poison. Slowly reduce it, and your brain doesn't even know it's getting less of it. Seems to work fine for me, and since I have been smoking for over 20 years, I quite proud of any single cigarette I don't smoke. If anybody can do it, I can do it, too. If I can do it, you can do it as well. Let us know how you're doing.

Not sure if this works as weel for smokers but I am quiting smokeless tobacco and am decreasing my use by eating sunflower seeds about half the times I have a craving. It doesn't really stop the craving but it helps with the oral fixation and if I have seeds in my mouth I can't put tobacco in. I guess technically you could still smoke with seeds but might be less likely to? Also I am wondering if the amount of seeds I am eating is putting my salt intake at a dangerous level? I am probably having 5 or 6 handfulls of seeds a day. Does anyone know where to find unsalted sunflower seeds?
