Hello all
New to all of this, been reading about the whey proteins on the boards and just a bit still confused, so I'm wondering if I'm doing this right.

First maybe I should let yous know I'm 45 yrs - 5' 9" and 275 lbs (Obese) (Just lost ten pounds though Smile ). From what I understand I should be around 175 LB, So of course I'm dieting (trying to stay near a 1500 cal) and trying to build muscles.

I purchased A few bottles of Optimum Nutrition 100% whey Gold edition and Muscle Milk.
My understanding (unless I'm wrong) O.N absorbs quicker into the body, and Muscle milk can be a replacement meal and be used as the bed time drink.
My schedule is gonna be
8:00 am wake up - O.N whey
9:00 am or 10 GYM
Within 30 min After Gym - O.N whey
eat low fat during the day or have muscle milk for replacement
Bed Time - Muscle Milk

Thanks Ahead

well, u arent really gonna build too much muscle if your only eating 1500 calories a day, but its better to have lower body fat right now. but dont just have three meals a day. make sure you spread it out into 5-6 meals a day. if its just 3 a day, then your body will store more fat. if you eat more frequently, your body will burn the calories that u just ate more quickly, because it will know it will get more food soon. and make sure to eat lots of protein, and keep lifting heavy so ur body doesnt burn any muscle instead of fat. (and do 15-20 minutes of cardio before each work outSmile)

yea... i would definately just focus on your diet (minimal calories) and cardio cardio cardio.  do whatever you can to burn that fat away..

worry about building muscle later.

Yeah, stick with a good healty diet right now. Good, lean protein and whole grain/whole wheat for carbs, you need good fats too, so don't neglect them. Lots of veggies!

*Purplenrp1* - You can squat 410 and only bench 150? Do you have like 1 arm?Smile

nah i just have really strong legs from doing kung-fu for 5 years. we had to practice jumping as high as we could every day, so i got strong. but i do it with bad form. i dont go low enough. a little above parelell. but if i go below parelell, it hurts my knees cuz i have reall bad tendonitis in both.

To loose weight and fat does it mater percentage wise protien/Carbs/Fat within the Calaroie Limit you are taking or just staying within the calaroie Limit itself.
And if its the first what would be a good percentage setup?
