I wasnt referencing it as the same thing, I was just explaining what I did. I lowered my total intake and carbs.

I cant imagine my body staying strong and progressing strength wise while on keto, I understand the basic concept. extremely low carb days and a recarb day. I would be more inclined to try carb cycling.

But im sure I will give it a try in the future.

I know.

Just wondering what happened to your lifts on your last cut?  The visual changes you made were impressive I remember that.  I bet your lifts went down a tad though.

yeah they never went down a lot. Once I was able to eat a little more carbs, my strength jumped back up and surpassed where it was before in a short amount of time.

I mean I really just chalked it up to the constant low glycogen, with the weight training and constant cardio. I just didnt have the fuel to keep going. And I just cant see the keto diet being any better even with refeed days...but...

I will give keto a try, probably when I get low enough to make a push into single digits. But knowing how my body works with low carb, I cant see me progressing like you did strength wise. I could be wrong which is a reason why I will eventually wanna try it, to see for myself.

At the moment I'm focussing on getting the correct calorie intake and tapering off carbs to gradually go back to the ketogenic diet.

I really don't see how anyone can argue with keto, even if you haven't tried it read the facts behind it, and look at the results..although I would also fall in the category of just dropping my total calorie intake, can't really control exactly what I eat..

The key here is to make good a choice on your carb intake. As much as possible stay away from simple carbs. If you cannot do away, discipline yourself and make sure you will gradually do so and take in moderation. But always remember to take in carb sources because you need them to energize your body.
