I've always wondered, how good are pushups for your chest, and are there different types of pushups that are more effective?

Push-ups r pretty good for ur chest not the best xercise but there good. I find that reverse push-ups are better, and doing push-ups on a push up bar is good also makes them harder that way.

In general push-ups are good, incline, decline and regular to hit all angles. But, as you progress push-ups are going to be less and less efficient and youll have to be doing more and more because your just going to get stronger and stronger. If you want though, you can have somone put a plate on your back while your doing push-ups, I found this to work for me as i progressed.

I always like doing a few sets of decline pushups at the end of my chest workout.
