I recently ordered a bottle of Hot-Rox. When I read the label, it says not to take this product if you're on a prescription med such as an antidepressant. I've been taking the anitdepressant Lexapro for about 2 months because my doctor recommended it for anxiety. Now I'm pissed because I just spent a lot of money on the Hot-Rox and don't know if I should take it or not. I don't understand what possible interaction their could be, because I thought Hot-Rox was made from natural substances. Also, somebody told me that almost all supplements have that same kind of warning, and their is nothing to worry about. Does anybody else take these kinds of supplements and an antidepressant??? I could use some advice. Thanks.

march your ass down to the doctors office and talk to him/her in person... have him read the label and give you an answer face to face, i say this cause i called my dr's office to get advice on a similar question and it took 3 weeks to get an answer that he never even heard the question to... the receptionist just made something up... good luck

Just because it says "natural" doesn't mean it doesn't contain potent substances. Munching on foxglove will give you plenty of digitalis . . . Talk to the doctor. Usually the warning says what kind of anti-depressants are the problem . . . does it?

Yes, the label says: "any prescription or over-the-counter medicine, including but not limited to antidepressants (such as MAO inhibitors)"

It could be because some antidepressants slightly raise bp.
