Hello everyone. Brand new here. Ive been working out since December and have made decent progress. Im basically in this to build bulk muscle. I dont want to be ripped and I dont want to be flabby. Just big like a linebacker. Anyhoo, on workout days I wake up, have a protein shake for breakfast. A little one dish meal ( could be anything ) and then I wait just long enough for it to digest so I can take my No XPLOD on an empty stomach and get to working out. Well often times midway through my workout ( just weightlifting no cardio ) I get a little lightheaded and worn out. Im pretty sure this is an issue with me not having enough calories and or carbs in me. Can anyone suggest a quick easy meal to eat before working out that will provide a good amount of CLEAN carbs and calories? Im 6'2, 215...if anyone even knows roughly how many calories I should have before working out that would be great. I know carbs are a good thing in moderation but I dont want any left over for fat storage. Thanks!
