Post count - Tuesday, October 14, 2008 11:02 AM ( #1 )
I swear last night my post count was in the 1480's, cause I remember thinking "i am about to be elite".  I noticed today after just posting that it is in the 1280's, as if 200 posts just dropped off my count or something.  Am I going crazy?

No you are not crazy.  Just observant!  Kris got a bug fix that discounts posts made in OOB towards the total.  So your posts aren't deleted per se, it's just that any in OOB won't count towards the final total.

Apparently it was turned on back when the forum was upgraded but wasn't actually taking effect.

The fix is in and so that's why you've noticed a drop.

i remember them lowering my post count with the deletion of out of bounds.  So, they added those posts back, then they took them away again?  Sorry, I'm still confused.  I'm so upset that I'm not about to become L337

EDIT:  wait i think i get it.  They took away our OOB posts when they deleted it, but then the OOB posts after that point kept counting, so they took away those that we have gotten since the deletion.  I think I have this groovy mystery solved.

Like Marc said, when we added the OOB forum back I disabled posts in that forum counting towards your total post count. Unfortunately, it didn't work and every post made in the OOB forum got added to your post count.

I fixed that bug yesterday and by doing so it removed any post made in the OOB section from your post count.
