Post Workout Carbs & Cutting

When I'm bulking, I use this calculator to calculate the post workout carbs. Which is like 100 something. But for cutting, does anyone know any numbers or a calculator. I searched the forum and saw that it's best to consume carbs with a lower GI. Was wondering if anyone had any numbers, formulas, calculators, or thoughts. Does they type of workout make a difference(cardio and/or weights)? Forgive me if this is a re-post. I didn't seem to find it.

PWO people usually go for high GI carbs actually if they're going to use carbs. The ones that spike insulin like crazy. The ratio is usually carbs : protein..between 1:1 and 2:1. There are different methods and it does depend on your goals and the rest of the workout nutrition and the type of training. The above is 'commonly' for weights or HIIT.

Are you saying a 1:1 ratio for cutting, bulking, or both? We all know bulking is a 1:4 ratio.

1:4 , carbs:protein for bulking??? Since when? PWO may vary and it depends on the diet as a whole. The ratios I put above can be for cutting, bulking, maintaining. If at one point in a cutting diet a change has to be done I'd cut the carbs out from the pwo and just stick to whey as that will still provide a spike in insulin.

1:4 , carbs:protein for bulking??? Since when? Aaahhh, yeah! Everyone knows that. Don't make me explain it. I'm sure you can find plenty of info supporting it on this forum and the web. I always comsume 40g protein and 120g carbs post workout when bulking, it works very well.

Well wait..there are different methods that work better for different people. 4:1 seems like a bit of an excess and I wouldn't be too comfortable taking in 120g of simple carbs in one shot like that. How many g of carbs are you taking overall then? Are you having a pwo meal within the hour though? lol...and I guess I'm not everyone

Oopps. 40/120 is 1:3, sorry. That's just for bulking. No it's not all 120g or simple carbs, it's about a 50/50 mix. And none is from supplements, mostly juice, fruit, yogurt, and milk. I try to always consume natural foods over supps. Yes, that 40/120 is taken within 1 mintue after work out. Then after an hour I consume a meal with about 1:1 protein/carbs. All complex carbs though. That is for bulking though. For cutting I been following a 1:1 to at 1:.5 ratio of protein/carbs post work out. And consume complex carbs through out the day. But that is just what I made up, just wondering what anyone else recommends for cutting.

okay, every body's body responds differently, but i tend to find that on a cut, pwo, i just have whey in water and ppwo, i have a low GI carb source (brown rice, whole grains, oatmeal, etc) and seems to be working fine for me.
THE END HAS COME FOR NOBUNAGA!!!!!
