Pop goes the wrist! - Thursday, March 31, 2005 10:14 PM ( #1 )
Ok I am doing hammer curls and on my right wrist as I pull up to the top my wrist pops right on where the bone from your thumb connects to the wrist/forearm. Anyone have a clue what it is that popped? Its pretty sore so I have been taking it easy on it, its not unbearable but its not comfortable. Any ideas on what it is?

It could have been a tendon that was slightly out of place and it popped back into its normal position. Ice it. See how it feels in a few days.

Thanks guys, nice to get an idea of what is wrong with it. It feels a lot better today but I think just to be safe on my next arm day I think I will stick to the machines just to be sure its alright. Thanks again.

It must probably isnt anything serious however, its always better to strap it to be safe. Get strapping tape from your chemist or just use a bandage to secure the wrist position. Might even be wise to hold off the weights till you let your wrist recover. This shouldnt take too long. The chances of you reinjuring it are much higher if you continue with a gimpy wrist without waiting for it to heal. Take a few days off, youll be better off in the long run. Take it from someone whos has many previous injuries.
