Well I have a poor eyesight with a power of -4.50, therefore im short-sighted. One of my friends is -6.50 and he told me his doctor has barred him from lifting as it will affect his eyes. Is this true? We cant lift if we have poor eyesight?

I'm nearsighted and I can't see for sh*t without my glasses. I've been lifting for a long time.

That is the biggest load of bull**** I have ever heard. Doctors know nothing about weight lifting.

NBSFighter That is the biggest load of bull**** I have ever heard. Doctors know nothing about weight lifting. This is absolutely correct. Doctors or surgeons are trained to help sick people and perform surgery, some are even good at it, but there's no way I would take a Doctor's advice over a trainer or experienced lifter that knows what they're talking about.

I personally think most doctors suck at their own job. At least all the ones i go too do. Maybe my parents are cheap.
