Changing your diet according to a box of supplements is not the way to go my man

Take a look at this to calculated your daily caloric needs so you can start off the right way
It also has a spreadsheet on the bottom if your to lazy to read the whole thing

http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/How_Many_Calories_Do_You_Need%3a_Calorie_Calculators_-_Includes_Quick_Spreadsheet_Too!/m_45013/tm.htm

If you new to lifting even for a cut a good basic compound routine would be sufficient enough
Remember when you are cutting your putting your body in a calorie deficient state so your muscle gains and strength gains would not be as great as when bulking

IMO 4x12 is a little high

What exercises are your doing ?
Most importantly your not working legs, back, shoulders, etc you need to work the body as whole

Also if you think doing ab exercises will lose the fat on the stomach no my friend there is no such thing as spot reduction those exercises will only strengthen the abs not lose the fat around, doing five hundred of them is almost a waste

You can only dictate how much you should be lifting everyone is different
Once again with hard work and dedication only time will tell your results

Forget the supplements for right now focus on listing your diet and cleaning it up if its not already

RE: Pics, help me get cut!!!!! - Tuesday, April 22, 2008 5:34 PM ( #3 )
I just starting working on my legs, and my back about a week ago  and I do about 30 min of cardio on the eliptical glider.

I'm not a beef eater or pork eater. But I do eat a lot of chicken and turkey and vegetables and protein shakes. But I don't eat alot. And I think that maybe my problem its hard for me to eat all day.

I dont want to get too much bigger, just cut and defined.

That may be the problem

How is it hard?

Try to eat 5-6 meals a day

Take it 1 step at a time

Believe it or not you maybe be under eating and your body is trying to hold on to as much fat as possible for energy

It would be a good idea to calculate your daily caloric needs on the spreadsheet link I provided above
