best horror ive seen since the blair witch project.  I am always disappointed with horror movies, but this one was definatly worth the ticket.  I was hearing weird noises in random places for the next 2 days.

Back then is was different, and original I think thats what made it scary. The ending also led itself to the imagination, which at times can be the scariest thing.

I thought it was pretty scary back then when I saw it. But I havent seen it in years. I was also younger too so who knows.

I thought that the blair witch was awful way back when and just recently they played it on tv maybe a year ago and I just laughed.

cant get into this , for the fact that i take the parnormal seriously .
It seems a movie like this would just put people further more into the dark on the very real studies of the paranormal

Haha you guys might make fun of me but I thought the Blair Witch Project was scary too.

I used to live on a mountain and a forrest was directly behind my house, I always had nightmares afterwords of a figure dragging me through the woods.

I'm going to see it tomorrow, I'm a pussy when it comes to the paranormal, if I see my own shadow I run, I'll update you guys on my opinion on it tomorrow.

Haha that's something I would do...

Bad news is they said the movie is not coming to DVD and if it's not in your city go to the theaters cause they are canceling it or something foolish. I've been searching for a good two hours to find it.

Wow, they make one horror movie that people love and they decide not to put it on DVD.

If 'they' are saying its not coming to dvd, 'they' are marketers.

It will its just a ploy to get you to go.

Re:Paranormal Activity - Tuesday, October 20, 2009 5:53 AM ( #20 )
and as to it being made in 2007, they do it to movies all the time. usually a production company loses interest and decides to delay the release or they dont release it in theaters at all. It happens a lot. Another one I can think of thats been delayed for a long time is 'The Poughkeepsie Tapes'. It looked really good, the trailer and all of the marketing made it look like a solid movie. And I got pretty good at spotting crap in trailers working in a theater for as long as I did. I missed every now and then. But delayed release happens pretty often.

Why do I feel like I am being set up for disappointment...  I am gonna trust you on this one.. I am gonna see it (heard some good chatter from another trusted horror source), But I am going to hold YOU MVP, personally responsible, if I leave this thing all sad pants, and not all scared pee pants...

Forcing the BF out to a movie, is like a serious obstacle (not that I have to go with him), so if I use up a movie night, on a bad horror movie... I am gonna be pissed!!!!!

Re:Paranormal Activity - Tuesday, October 27, 2009 12:34 PM ( #29 )
I have a very long attention span.... I am not at all worried about a slow build up.... I love some old fashioned like 1960's horror movies... the ones that are decidedly "not scary " in the least little bit, especially compared to modern horror flicks... with very, very slow plot lines... no gore (or just terrible special effects)... so I am not too worried about that stuff... I just want to have old fashioned horror movie fun, and from what I have heard this might to it for me... I really like suspense...

but, thanks for the warning, all though it will not get MVP off the hook for this on...
