Hi, I just want to know if anyone here can give me tips on gaining more endurance.. I get really tired and pains in my ribs if I run for too long and just cant punch for long either, i get really worn out.. i'm pretty out of shape, but i'm not fat, or even chubby, I have pretty built abs, enough to see them, and I weigh 130 lbs, i'm 15 years old, and take daily vitimans and drink milk and water all day, I have a punching bag, weights, and just the normal equipment, I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some tips, my brothers a navy seal but hes always gone with active duty, and pretty soon will be gone for 2 years so I cant get any help from him.. appreciate any help.
Thanks

PS: Am I underweight for my age? I just turned 15 nov 23rd

Cardio Coach

Fantastic way to get in shape and lose some fat at the same time. I've only done this series for about 3 weeks now and it's incredible.

You can also look to Guerilla Cardio (search this forum) which is another great way to get fit fast.

Both of these options are high intensity interval training. None of that low intensity, 3 hour marathon session stuff. You will get your endurance up pretty fast.

Thanks for your reply, my problem is I don't have any access to gyms or those exercise bikes or anny of that stuff, i'm just an avg 15 y/o.. I have a punching bag, weights, and am really motivated to do anything I can to improve my endurance in running, punching and just in general anything, I intend in following my grandpa and 2 brothers footsteaps and joining the service, but I just dont have any endurance to do much and don't know where to start, I really need tips on this, I'm not really looking to get huge bulky, I just want to be able to last, and be strong, i'm willing to try anything suggested, but i'm very new to the workout thing.. i don't know alot of workouts or anything about nutrition, other than eating fruits n veggies are good, I take vitimans and drink milk alot though, so I guess that helps abit, so thats why i'm here, i've seen alot of really smart people here and looking forward to comments and any help I can get Smile thanks.

Most of the cardio suggestions.. you do not need fancy equipment. Running outside is still free. You might consider a heart rate monitor to track zones or just "run". You can do a punching bag with the Cardio Coach suggestion.

Guerilla Cardio is about hill running. Nothing fancy there either.

It's just guided (voice and music) cardio to help you reach target heart zones and into your perceived exertion. It's utilizing whatever cardio you are doing. Punching bags, running, bikes.. whatever. Sean is just there to guide you into the various intervals. I use mine with a stationary bike.

If I were you I would run at a moderate pace for as long as I could and time myself and each day push yourself to run for one extra minute. It is easier to eat a whole elephant in little bites. Good luck.
