Orthotics - Sunday, June 15, 2008 11:40 PM ( #1 )
Hey All,

I have a set of orthotics that I use when jogging. Does using orthotics make buying expensive runners less important? I imagine it would change how the shoes 'handle' compared to running without orthotics...

Commitment is doing what you said you would do after the feeling you said it in has past.

What kind of orthotics do you have?  Custom made I assume.  Are they hard or soft material?  Generally I put people with hard orthotics into cushioned neutral shoes.

Don't be too cheap.  I recommend Brooks Dyad 4's or NB 882's.  I know a few runner's wearing mizuno creation 8's and creation 9's with orthotics but that's not common place.

You can also try Nike Air Pegasus' or Asics Gel-Cumulus.  Try them all on, see which one fits best.  Other than the Mizuno's they others are pretty cheap.
