This may be a silly question, but.......... at an NPC amateur show, are there people backstage to help you with your oiling, or do you need to bring a friend to do this?

Thanks!

Normally there are volunteers, they don't like to allow competitors to bring people back there for space limitations, its very rare at a show to be able to have anyone with you backstage.

Thanks Linda!  And, what oil would you recommend?  I've heard that PAM is good, but would like your opinion.

people will help you out for sure.  Pam is popular.  Protan makes a posing oil as well that is good.

What show are you doing?

I'm doing the Nov 10th Eastern USA.  It's my first ever show.  Been training for over 20 years for it so I should be ready, LOL!

Have you competed in any NPC's?

That is a very competitive show to say the least. You are just jumping right into the deep end of the pool. I have a friend that is competing in the figure so I will probably be there.  What catergories are you entered.  I have competed in the NPC several times.  Most recently I took 4th in the Masters and 5th in the Open LHW several weeks back-Good luck-are you working with anyone to prepare

I'll be entering Novice and Masters, at a weight of about 195 lbs.  I do have someone working with me, thanks!

Do you know, competition-wise, how do the INBF shows compare to the NPC shows such as the Eastern USA?

Thanks!

The Eastern USA is non tested and the vast majority of place winners (at least in the open and possibly the Master's will be using some form of anabolics) It is just the way it is I had a friend that one the Over 50.  The Over 40 class is stacked.  You should be able to find some pics if you do a google search.

pm me if I can help you anymore.

pam is the easiest and best with most tan based products so that they don't streak or smear, you canspray the pam and tap it, dab it around so you don't streak.........but, find out if you are allowed that at this show, each venue can vary - the theaters each have their own rules so find out if there will be a area for touch up tans and greasing.
