OVT or GVT? - Tuesday, August 25, 2009 6:03 PM ( #1 )
for people that know what that title means, do you think GVT or OVT is better and why?

Thanks

For those who are wondering.

OVT is Optimized volume training
GVT is German volume training

anyway I would probably go with OVT but they are both essentially the same thing accept.

ovt has supersets. 2 for each body part so 50 reps per super set, 100 total.
ovt adjusts weight between sets if necessary.
ovt rest between super sets is longer

that being said I have never tried either. But if I had to or if I were to recommend these to anyone, it would be to someone who is already at or close to that elite level of bodybuilding. Not for anyone who is novice-intermediate.

just my 2cents.

GVT

OVT

I did a bit of reading on them a while back, I'd just keep things simple but I really wouldn't do either personally. GVT almost seems like an antagonistic style training (which is my preference).
