" Molecularly-Balanced Anabolic Supplement!
OKG. Pure Molecular Power.
OKG is an advanced anabolic and anti-catabolic formula designed for serious strength athletes. Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (OKG) consists of Ornithine molecules bonded to Alpha-Ketoglutarate molecules. Research has shown that supplementation of OKG assists with increased protein synthesis, decreased protein catabolism, improvements in insulin and somatropin secretion and increased uptake of amino acids and glucose to the muscles. OKG1s anabolic potential makes it a must for all athletes desiring muscle mass and recovery. For your convenience, OKG comes in pure powder form or capsules. Vitamin C and Magnesium have been added to both for increased bio-efficiency.
Protein Synthesis
Pro-Anabolic Potential
Decreased Protein Catabolism
Vitamin & Mineral Co-factors"

Ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate (OKG) is a salt formed by combining two molecules of the amino acid ornithine and one molecule of alpha-ketoglutarate. Because OKG seems to be involved in amino acid synthesis and protein availability, many athletes supplement with OKG as a way to increase muscle mass and strength – although the evidence for its effectiveness is this regard is quite limited. -SupplementWatch.com

My first thought is, that Creatine might provide the same end benefits for you at a much cheaper cost per serving.

Key word in the summary above is evidence. You have to remember that the supplement industry as a whole is unregulated. Meaning, you can almost say whatever you want and make any claims without repercussions. So you don' t really need any evidence to make label claims. And this is nothing more then a claim made by a company without a lot of support evidence (like protein, prohormone, creatine) studies to back it up.

Even our wonderful glutamine thread had loads of studies.. just none of them conclusively showed major benefits to the bodybuilder for the associated costs per serving.

I read the report at Supplement Watch and it sound Ok. MDA is right on the creatine giving the same benefits as far a what I have read. But the monthly pricing that they talk about there seem a bit exaggerated. At my weight (170) it looks like I could take this for about $30 per month. I currently take creatine, but would like some opinion on what to supplement while in the unloading the creatine phase.

I like my Nitroxide by SportPharma.. good stuff.. gives me nice pumps.. I can' t say I get results from it, but I do feel great and go into the gym more motivated to hit the weights harder.

BTW, for the record, I' m probably one of the few users of an NO2 supplement that has positive things to say.. My observations have been that 90% of people think it' s a marketing gimic and a complete waste of money. The only results you' ll get from NO2 type supplements are a smaller wallet. But my experiences are good. I like the feeling. And if you give me a sugar pill and I do better from it, so be it..

But I use that when I cycle off Creatine for a time period. Although you will find much thoughs on cycling off Creatine and many people find it' s not necessary. But that' s up to you.
