It does now make a lot more sense, i laughed to myself when i looked at my first post. After some hardcore reading over the forums bodybuilding does make a lot more sense to me now, although i am still a complete newbie.
I think i've got the diet side of it sorted, since that is 50% of the battle? (as i understand it)
Training, Right, Muscle groups on certain days, makes sense, any help with a program - it would be greatly appreciated. I've looked through some but i could do with help. I only have limited equipment at my disposable at the moment, but i think i'm in with an ok start for a newbie.
Equipment that i can use for this new training program:
-Bike (Gym one - no idea what they're called)
-Rowing Machine
-Punchbag
-Dumbells
-Barbell
-Abs machine
-Total Trainer (http://www.total-trainer.com/stores/total/catalog/4000_xl_main.jpg)

This is what I have, I have a fairly good idea of what my diet will be (I stole someone elses!) i just need a training plan thats right for me. I want to cut and build muscle, if thats even the right approach? again i am a newbie, so i need help here. cheers ;o)

What about a cardio day(s)?

and do you also have a weight bench to use with the dumbells and barbell?

sorry, i forgot to add, i was thinking a modest 30 minutes of cardio during the week, and possibly at the weekends also? (or when i rest should i completly do nothing?)
Cardio would be either
30mins - Bike
or--
30mins - Punchbag
or--
a split between the two.

I do have use of a bench i could use with the barbells and dumbells

EDIT *thats 30minutes a day not for the entire week :>

Yeah, it's fine to have rest days where you completely do nothing... in fact that's good for your body.  It gives your body some much needed time to repair tissues and recover from working out.  And personally, I wouldnt do 30 mins of cardio each day... Maybe monday, wednesday, and friday or sumthing...

And that's awesome that you have a bench too... that allows you to do SO many more exercises... I'm guessing it's one with a rack for a barbell, right?

yeah it does have a rack, im a lot more knowledgable now than when i first started out, i have my diet sorted out i think ;) i just need exercises for the specific days really. How long does a workout usually take? 30-60mins i would imagine?

Edit *Also does anyone have suggestions for exercises that i can carry out using the equipment stated above, with the "weekly plan" in mind, very much appreciated
