I have been working out now since the beginning of the year and last week is the first time I didn't have horriblely sore legs after a hard leg workout. This whole year my legs would ache horriblely for several days afterwards. My leg workout includes: Lunges 3x12 Squats pyramid (12 10 8 6 4) Step ups 3x12 Leg curls 3x12 Leg Extensions 3x12 Just wanted to share the good news!

Squats should come before lunges. Your leg workout is 3 extension VS. 1 flexsion resulting in more direct stimulus to the quads and that could easily result in knee imbalance. You should work 1 or 2 movements for knee extension and the same attention should be given to the knee flexsors.

I do deadlifts on a different day if that helps.
