Your boy cries but you proceed to fratenise with those baby blue eyes, eyes like the sky you pleaded for ties. Your stomach cries, and you envisionise a plate full of fries. Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

as posted before, get some good carbs in before you work out. an example would be oats. and yes it is ok to drink a protein shake before bed. just make sure you use milk. this will caseinate your shake, so while you're sleeping, your body will stay out of a catabolic state while you sleep.

Thanks for the advice and sugestion guys! I have few more newbie question, but do not want to start another thread. Okay, so I've been reading "Bodybuilding without steroids" by Stuart MacRobert, and it said that I need to work out 3 days a week with breaks between the workouts, but here many claim that it is good to work out 4-5 days in a row. So what you guys think? 2Master of Puppets (cool movie btw): what is carbs anyway? I though it was meat, but then you said oats, so I'm confused

ORIGINAL: AK Thanks for the advice and sugestion guys! I though it was meat, but then you said oats, so I'm confused "carbs" is short for carbohydrates. carbohydrates are a macronutrient found in things like bread, oats, potatoes. i have some guidelines of good foods and how often to eat below: Good foods protein: chicken breasts, tuna, cottage cheese, eggs and egg whites, lean cuts of beef carbs: oats, whole wheat bread, yams, veggies, fruits, brown rice, barley fats: raw almonds and walnuts, flax, fish oil(from salmon and other fatty fish or from caps), oilve oil, natty pb Here are some guidlines to follow... -eat 6+ meals a day, eating a meal every 2-3 hours -eat at least 1g of protein be pound of body weight -to get an estimate of how many calories you are going to need to eat to gain weight take your body weight X 20 (not exact, just a guideline) -avoid all processed food (white bread, overprocessed cereals, etc.) hope all this helps. if you have another question, just ask, and I'll help you. *EDIT*- as you're just starting out, you could work out 3-4 times a week, then once your body gets used to it, you could up it to 5-6 days. i would suggest never going 7 days a week, as you never have a total off- day. here's a split i'm using. you don't have to use the exact one, but it will help you get an idea: mon - bis & tris tues - Chest, abs Wed - back thur - shoulders, lats fri - legs, calves again, it's just a sample. try not to combine two big body parts in one workout, like chest and back. that's a no-no. also, try to have a day between chest and shoulders, as your shoulders get secondhand work while doing chest. good luck hope all this helps. if you have another question, just ask, and I'll help you.
