Hello people,

Name: Wayne
Age: 18
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 175lbs
From: England

I have been weight training for about 2 years now (on-and-off) but have only really been focusing on it properly for the last few months. I took up weights because I am very insecure about my body and want to acquire more self-esteem. I have Scheuermann's Disease which has made me very low in confidence but a good work-out makes me feel a lot better.

My usual routine can take from anything from 45mins to 2 hours. My dad says it's now better for me to use heavier weights and do fewer sets as this will help build the muscle. He says I've already conditioned them by doing lots of sets with lighter weights.

The amount I do varies but these are the exercises I usually do:

Curls
One-Arm Rows
Bent Over Rows
Press-Ups
Sit-Ups
Bench Press (Start off using the bar and then use dumbells).
Squats

The dumbells I use weigh about just under 20lbs each.

My eating routine is usually something like this:

Breakfast
Sometimes I may have a small yogurt or little trifle. Some other days it might be a bacon sandwich or a piece of fruit.
I have a poor appetite in the mornings.

Lunch
For lunch it will usually just be something like a sandwich and maybe a piece of cheese or something along with it. I have cut
out things like crisps (chips to Amercians :p)  I try to eat a lot of fish and love to have a tuna sandwich.

Dinner
Dinner varies a lot. Somedays it's beans, fish fingers and pasta. Then some other days it can be a fish pie or pizza.

you should have a split something like...

monday-chest
tuesday-abs/traps
wednesday-legs
thursday-biceps/triceps
friday-abs/traps

Well usually what the same routine of Curls, One-Arm Rows, Bent Over Rows, Press-Ups, Sit-Ups, Bench Press and Squats and have days off.

Mon- Train
Tue- Train
Wed- Day Off
Thu- Day Off
Fri- Train
Sat- Train
Sun- Day Off

 
Although days can vary.

monday-chest/shoulders
flat bench-12,10,8
1/2 bench-12,10,8
DB raises-12,10,8

tuesday-abs/traps
crunches-15,12,10,10
twist crunch-15,12,
shrugs-15,12,10,8

friday-biceps/triceps
barbell curl-12,10,8
close bench-12,10,8
concentrations-12,10,8
extensions-12,10,8

sunday-lats/legs

front squats-12,10,8
lounges-12,10,8
calf raises-15,12,10
1 arm rows-15,12,10
pull ups-15,12,10

Ok, as I am fairly new to this and only do basic stuff.

What are:

Lounges
Shrugs
Close bench
Concentrations
and Extensions ?
