Hello, today i purchased NO Explode, and a Creatine Boost which is a monohydrate powder form of creatine from GNC as well as mega Men Vitamin Supplements. If i take the vitamins every day, and use the NO before the workout and Creatine before and after, should this be effective? Also, do i need to take a little more than the reccomended amount?( i weigh 175 lbs). P.S. this wont harm my track season will it? I do sprints

You're in high school right? Not college? Because I have some track friends who can't take creatine in-season because it's on the NCAA's banned substance list. Be careful about taking creatine on days when you have track practice. Creatine draws water out of organs and other areas into your muscles. Combined with high intensity cardiovascular activity it is possible to go into cardiac arrest. I'm not trying to scare you and creatine is very safe, I would just suggest not dosing on practice days.

I don't like opening pdf files is it not on there? I have track, soccer and softball friends who all said it was banned in-season. Same at U of Miami. I don't know maybe it's just the universities' policies. Either way if you are in college it's always safe to check and make sure that the supplements, not just creatine aren't on the banned list. I say supplements because many have other things in them that may be banned aside from creatine.

How would they even test for creatine?

ORIGINAL: Yet How would they even test for creatine? You can't, which is what I think you were implying. The only way they could possibly test it would be to examine urine samples and the athlete would have to be taking too much for the body to process, causing the body to excrete the extra creatine. This would not be a fail-safe way to test for it at all. If the athlete was taking the correct amount or also just eating healthy amounts of meat than the levels would appear high as well. So there really is no way to test for it. I don't think that the NCAA has officially banned creatine because of this reason. Different schools do have their own regulations. Be careful about different supplements that contain other things that are banned because those could get you into trouble. (ie. High amounts of caffeine, ephedra, ect)
