New to body building and the fourm :P - Tuesday, December 02, 2008 5:18 PM ( #1 )
Heyy guys, im jimmy :D. I'm 15, weight 135, and currently standing at 5'5. :P

I'm new to Body building, and i want to try to get my arms big, i can curl 40's, but my biceps arent that huge like the other guys at my school. I want to learn how to get a bigger arm, chest, abs, and legs !

I'm pretty fit, i do martial arts, and i can run a mile in 5.40, been working out for awhile but havent seen a big difference in muscles, my ab's only shoe if i flex them.
I know i have to diet and watch what i eat and everything, but im looking for routines where i can make my body bigger :]
Thanks

-Jimmy

At your age...if you're not seeing any gains,It is probably directly related to your diet. Eat and eat a lot, good proteins,Chicken, fish , lean meats...with plenty of complex carbs to fuel your workouts!

Good Luck!
Current Stack: HDROL,Celltech,Superpump 250, Glutamine,Beta alanine,Whey protein.

this is true.  how much you can curl isn't going to give you that powerful burst of strength in sports like those 3 lifts can....don't forget military press too.

True military press and power cleans are important to. You might know the military press as overhead press,a military press is where you push the bar over your head and bring it back down to your neck area and repeat. Also if you haven't been growing much and you've been eating like a beast then its your routine so whats your routine?

you also need to be eating the right foods.  have a good diet planned with all your greens, carbs, protiens and fats.  how many calories you eat is important too.  i can say i eat 6 times a day, but only get in like 2k calories.  go to the diet and nutrition forum.  great info there.  also use google to search lifts you may not know.  i didnt know exactly what Good Mornings were until i just googled it =D

good luck!

Jimmy if u really want to get into body building your going to be interested in what everything is. Youtube is seriously where its at if you dont know what something is. I check youtube for new excercises all the time. its a great way to see if your doing something wrong. Obviously some people are morons but youll be able to tell who they are pretty easily. Check out Mark Riptoe on youtube

Also look for a three day cycle for a workout. should include deadlifts and squats...alot of them ha.

if you want a specific routine let me know and ill send you mine.

good luck!
Sometimes you just gotta go out there and get it done, You know.. Give Er

im looking for a new routine that will hit my whole body

When you are performing these reps are you sure to fully exhaust on the last rep. If you are not fully exhausted on the 8th rep maybe you should increase the weights.

I get pretty exhausted by the 2nd rep, but i still manage to finish the last rep.

Welcome to the forum Jimmy.

I think bulkingup gave you some good advice-take care of your diet. Since I started visiting this forum I have become a big believer in diet being the most important or at least equally important of being fit.
