New program!! help please - Tuesday, May 13, 2008 7:48 PM ( #1 )
This is the new program that i am seposto start, it seems a little odd to me.and seems a little leg crazy. any thoughts?? Thanks!

A-lower?
Power clean warm up -2 x 3
Hang clean - 3 x 5
Back Squat - 3 x 10

Step-ups
good mornings 3x10
lunges 3x10
lying tricep EXT 3x10

B- Upper?

Overhead squat - 3 x 6
Hang snatch - 3 x 5
bench press - 3 x 10
Incline press - 3 x 10

Bent over rows -3x10
lat pull down - 3x10
Hammer curls - 3x10
Delt raises - 3x10
manual neck? - 1x10

Note- all days start with a warm up and end with running or conditioning, this is a football program given to me by a D1 strength coach.

There is a C and D day but they are similar to the A/B day programs. to me this seems like a speed program, please any thoughts? also the second lower day includes power cleans and deadlift.

I wouldn't touch good mornings... with all the squats, deadlifts your lower back gets worked hard and that something that would be very careful in working out specifically. I'm a noob but that's my advice on that part.
