here it is, sorry for the bad quality, video'd it from my mobile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeT5_KXGaY8 So far I've already noticed my knees are going a bit beyond my toes and I need more hip drive It's not a full ATG squat guys! I think that's just paralel but generaly (when not maxing I go all the way down) So any tips/corrections you may have are welcome

Other than the lack of hip drive that you already mentioned, that was very good form for a high bar squat. I couldn't see anything else wrong

how long does it usually take to build up your squat? I max at like 160lbs which is really bad i kno. I just started the mark rippetoes Starting strength routine and squating 3 times a week.

get a little deeper just a couple inches more for a solid paralell squat , i do what you do when expirementing with a heavier weight just going to paralell but yeah just a little bit further :]

it looked pretty good for a high bar besides not quite parallel and not much hip drive. have you tried doing low bar squats? since i have switched to them i feel that my hamstrings are a lot more involved and i feel that it is easier to get more hip drive. i can't comment on where you knees are compared to your toes since i can't see them. good job though. keep up the good work.
No the leg press is not the same as doing squats.

You're right, I'm gonna work on it, in a few weeks i'm gonna try again but a full atg and take the vid form a better angle so you can see my feet. I have yet to perfect my form About low bar squat, I've tried them but I can't seem to stabilize the bar there, my shoulders hurt, so I stoped doing them I'm also going to take a vid front squatting 5x165lbs in a couple of weeks

Your shoulders hurt because your flexibility isn't quite there. Work through the pain, as the flexibility comes within a couple weeks. You should be able to stabilize the bar if you have a thumbless grip with your elbows out and your wrists straight.

yeah my TP has really bad flexibility and he can't hardly do low bar with a lot of weight due to it hurting his shoulder. From what i could tell the reason is he just cant get the delt to stick out because he can't get his elbows back and grab the bar. You should be able to put one of your elbows back and feel the delt stick out. thats where you want to rest the bar. I would just try strecthing with just the bar for a few weeks and then try adding some weight and see how it feels. working through pain is not always the best method but thats just me. to me a lot of times pain can turn to injury if it's because of poor form.

Well obviously it depends on the severity of it. If it is just a soreness, it can be worked through, but if the pain is significant, than by all means work on the flexibility first. I thought that was a given.

haha, wasn't trying to step on toes... just being clear. mainly becuase the TP as mentioned kinda hurt his shoulder pretty good trying to work through the pain.
