FL1
FL2
Strength 1
FL3
Strength 2
Strength 3
Hypertrophy 1
Hypertrophy 2
FL1
Hypertrophy 3

or i may just do the "serious about lifting, but seriously overwieght" routine cause it looks pretty good, and i have lifted for a couple years already

That's interesting that you're doing the strengths before the hypertrophys, but that's cool.  The hypertrophys are pretty good fat burning programs too.  I sweat like a bastard during every workout; I can't imagine what I'd be like during the fat loss ones though.  I will be starting strength 1 in 7 weeks.  I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm doing the "guy who considers skinny an insult" routine, I'm on Hypertrophy 2 right now.  Great routine!

that routine explains me maybe i should try it.id rather be a bit over weight than under weight.

I've been working on the NROL program for the past 2 weeks.  I am doing the serious about lifting but seriously overweight routine myself.  When I read the book I was not really sure this workout was going to be intense enough for me. The breakin, afterall, is just 2 sets of each exercise.  But after getting into it, there have been at least 2 workouts where I've felt like I was going to barf afterwards.  I sweat like crazy and I'm huffing and puffing at certain points.  The workouts are just amazing and I'm getting results again (I had plateaued towards the end of my Optimal Anabolics sessions).  It was also odd (after doing 5 day a week with Optimal Anabolics) to switch to just 3 days a week with the NROL workouts.  I bet that has alot to do with my results--less chance of overtraining.

I will keep you all informed as well and will be looking forward to seeing what your results are as well.

I couldn't find any other new rules thread so I thought I'd post in this one.
I don't know which routine brihead suggested to me from the book but DAAAMN! I'VE HAD SOME EXCELLENT GAINS! Close to 1.5lbs every week. And not that I could notice with all the strange variation of exercises and rep ranges, but I've also made awesome gains in strength!

Just out of boredom or for the sake of it, while my friend was in the garage lifting and they were done with the bench, I put on 40kg on each side of the 6.5kg barbell, and did 2 reps of it for Flat Bench Press! That's 5kg more than what I lifted for 2 reps last maxxing out!
I haven't tried doing lifts with other exercises but my pec strength seems to be improving vastly with this routine, especially since I've found it hard to improve on the exercise.
3.5 weeks into this routine and 2.5 to go, loving it.

I'm definitely buying the book!

Congrats man, I'm glad you like the routine.  That routine that I gave you was Hypertrophy 1.  He gives 9 total different routines to follow in that book - Hypertrophy 1, 2, 3; Strength 1, 2, 3; and Fat-loss 1, 2, 3.

I just finished hypertrophy 1 about a month ago, and I'm now on Hypertrophy 2.  All that switching up of intensity levels and reps and rest times really is a shock to the system.  In about a month I will be switching to strength 1.  I can't wait for that one to start.  From what I've heard the strength routines not only build strength, but they really pack on the mass like crazy too!

Congrats on the gains.  I have broken through a major plateau just using the Breakin workouts.  During my 3 weeks on the Breakin I've lost 4 pounds and gained 4 pounds of LBM.  My body fat is down to 19% (started around 21% when I began the Breakin).

I think the reason these workouts are so good is they avoid overtraining and they focus on switching up the intensity constantly.  I'm looking forward to hearing more about your gains!  Keep up the great work!

All the success stories are very motivational.  I'll be starting my breakin program in 2 weeks - I'm timing it with the start of the new school year just my own calendar.

To those of you who have had success:  Do you follow the cardio suggestions to the letter, do more, or do less.  The reason I'm asking is I belong to a boxing (for fitness) gym and I'm not sure if I should keep boxing while on the program - too much cardio might cut some gains.

Thoughts?

I've been resisting the urge to do more cardio and just sticking to their Metabolic Overdrive program.  So far I can't argue with the results.

I wish I still had that book, I got it out of the library and put all the routines into spreadsheets.  I want to read about the metabolic overdrive (I skipped that part when I read it).

Honestly, I don't think you need much cardio with his routines.  I sweat like Michael Jackson in a boy scout meeting everytime I go to the gym and do one of the routines.

The Hypertrophy routines are great for cardio because of all the short rest times and high rep days.  Obviously the fat-loss ones are great cardio routines as well.  The only time you may want to do extra cardio is during the Strength routines, but that's just my opinion.  the strength routines have the long rest times and low reps, so you're probably not burning as many calories as you would on the hypertrophy or fat-loss.

I'm actually doing things a bit weird now.  I'm on a cutting diet, and I'm doing cardio while I'm doing the Hypertrophy 2 routine.  When I switch to strength 1 in 6 weeks, I will switch back to a bulking diet, and I will cut the cardio.

Not going boxing is going to suck!  That's 65 bucks a month down the drain!

That's the great part of this program.  I'm in week 6 and I only have to do 22 minutes of interval cardio 4 days a week and I'm losing fat.  It is amazing.  I'm down to 18.5% body fat, the lowest I've been since I've been focused on these things.  "Sweat like Michael Jackson at a boy scout meeting"--LOL  That's a funny comment, but so totally true!  I started wearing my heart rate monitor during the lifting workout and found that my heart rate can increase up to 85 to 90% of my max rate.  It is amazing.  I can actually feel a metabolic change in my body as I complete the workout.  I have never felt so drained!
