Your clean isn't good compared to your other lifts. You should clean as much or more than you bench.

Rippetoe says it should be somewhere between bench and overhead press, closer to your bench # tho.  Just throwing that out there

I know it sucks, but I just started them. If there anything like benching was, they will go up pretty fast.

Not really, I'm slowly losing weight just from the exercise, no need to cut. Not yet anyways.

I do have a good bit of fat still, but its slowly coming off. Once it stops coming off I'll probably cut.

Just add in some cardio-type activity and you'll see fat come off while you're still gaining muscle. Ride your bike to run errands or play basketball a couple times a week.

I do a lot of cardio. Plus I play basketball a lot too. It's just coming off slow. Thats fine with me as long as I'm still going down.

RE: New Maxes - Sunday, August 03, 2008 1:39 PM ( #20 )

I trained for about a year before. Then I had a collarbone injury and I had a tumor on my leg which had to be removed. Those were about at the same time. Anyways I took a really long break from lifting. Since I started, which was in February, I have been training pretty seriously. I've gone up over 100lbs in bench, squats, and deads. My powercleans and push press is kinda low considering I have only been doing them for 2 weeks and I'm still trying to get my form perfect.
