hardway........where do you feel the pull more when in lotus.....back? hams? groin? or the muscles in the feet by the ankles???
can you do half lotus on both sides and btw wft is a yogi.........lets see if she chimes in.........
I guess sticking point #1 is Hips/groin, I think I have very tight hip flexors, I feel it in the ball of my hip joint as well, then yeah, my ankles are tight... I didn't realise that until you mentioned the possibility (and after taking off my shoes at work and trying to get into the position).
Half lotus no... If I have a leg out straight I can bend my other leg on top, but not if it is underneath... again the hips, they don't want to splay out that way.
I am thinking that staddle strech progression should help me some, but getting me all the way I don't know.
For someone who doesn't train for flexibility (although I have at different points and times, and for a significant time period, never seriously though), I am fairly flexible, but my hips, in positions like that, even indian style (Yeah I can at least pull that off

), always a hard time for me.
