I've read a lot of books on usability... all of them (including the study's I've read) have shown that a light gray background with black text is the easiest to read on a web page.

But... I will be adding custom templates in the future. Therefor, you can change the colors to something that you prefer. But, I have other things I need to work on right now so this feature may be far away (months).

In the future... right now it's going to stay as is. But like I've said, in the future there will be a couple of color templates you guys can pick from.

It's all the same to me. White, blue, black, green. As long as I can send messages and read I'm good.

I'm with local...I've caught myself doing a lot more just browsing and reading lately.

I think people need to realize that, believe it or not, Kris has a life outside of this website. He'll get around to changing things that he feels need changed when he can. Once the idea is put out there, there is no point in bringing it up and complaining about it again.

It seems so odd to me how honesty is honestly the rarest thing upon us. Honestly, it's astonishing.

I was a big supporter of the old DBB, but I don't see a damn thing wrong with the new update/look. Like Twisted mentioned, if you think about it... anything you read in real life is white background, black colors... this is no different. You just need to get used to it... when the custom colors/themes comes around, you can change it if you want. I personally like the darker theme, but it's all good... this is fine.

I just don't like how you can't see who's viewing the thread that you're looking at, but it's not really a big deal.  That was just something I was used to.

Also, you have to scroll all the way back up to the top of the page to get out of a thread, but stay in the same section you're in (for instance  if you're looking at a 2nd page of a thread in "training" then you have to go all the way back up to the top of the page to get back into "training", you can't just hit "go" at the bottome of the page anymore like you used to.)

But, that's just me being a lazy American fat-ass.  I'll get used to it.

You can still see who is viewing the thread.  It is at the bottom of the page, but now it says "There are _ members and _ guests" and below that is shows the people viewing it.

Twisted, open up a word document and stare at it for three hours.  Don't tell me your eyes don't bother you.  Open a book and stare for three hours, you'll just be bored.

Computers give off light, paper does not, therefore the white on a background is bright, whereas the light on a piece of paper is not.

The people viewing the thread is now shown at the bottom of the page (like someone else mentioned).

We're going to add the forum "breadcrumbs" navigation to the bottom of the page soon. But... in the meantime... just click on the green arrow facing upwards on someones post and it will take you right back up to the top (so you don't have to scroll).
