Okay, I'm around six feet tall. Possibly an inch taller, putting me at being 6'1".

I'm 17 years old, and have always been skinny for most of my life. I weigh 130 pounds. It sounds really bad, I know. Problem is, I CAN'T gain weight. I'm not going about it the right way, or I just can't do it period.  Joining this forum was my last option. I want to gain at least 10-15 pounds and turn it into muscle. I will feel better about my weight and have a little more meat on me. I currently lift dumb bells I've been doing 15 pounds and 20 pounds, but I'm working my way up. I also do 300 sit ups a day, when I'm not being lazy. What should I be eating to bulk up or put on some weight? I can feel my ribs lately, and I stopped running on the treadmill, because I lost a couple pounds by doing that. I was like between 125-130 the other week. Anyway, sorry if this didn't make sense. I'm in a rush, but I think you get the idea. Any advice???

No one can help me? Seriously, this is my life. If I don't gain weight who knows if I will have health problems. I mean doctor says I'm fine, but I want to better myself, and my body.

ok for starters you are burning most your weight off by doing 300 situps a day lol you need a good diet maybe 6 meals a day + supliments every day i have been traing for 4 years on and of and i could never put on weight untill a year ago i was always 8 1/2 stone but now in on a good diet i have gone up to 9 1/2 in a year and still putting on pounds it may seem not a lot in a year but with a super fast matabolism i think its great also if you are like me fast matabolism you wont need to worry about fat as you will burn it of anyway just eat everything thats my moto

I take a daily vitamin, and I also eat normal things. Usually three meals a day with a snack. Okay, so I'll cut down to one hundred sit ups a day, and do my normal arm work out. What else should I do? What types of food are good to eat to get some weight that you can turn into muscle? Yes, my metabolism is really high.

good foods to eat well we need anything with loads of carbs and protien chicken breasts with pasta rice
you could also hae tuna pasta also if you have a fast matabolism you can still benifit from fat foods the main thing is to eat on a reguler basis like eat every few hours or take a supliment that way you shock your body into building by stocking up before your motabolism has burnt of what you got from the last meal otherwise by leaving having a meal too long you would have burnt of everything and have to make your body start again so main thing is to eat at set times each day if you fill full after a few hours use a supliment as a meal  hope this helps

also to build more muscle you need to lift heavy rather than doing loads of lite also the same for your abs by doing lots dont always help people build upfor people like us with a fast motabolism best thing is to be

1 more lazy
2 eat as mutch as you can
3 lift heavy
4 have a longer rest period between sets

                      good luck

That sounds really confusing. SO do less sit ups and spread out over the day? And lifting weights, I can only do the dumb bell things, since I don't go to a gym yet... also what's a good supplement to stock up with?

Do This:

1:  No more cardio.  Yup.  No more.  No 300 situps.  You want to gain weight?  Sounds like you have a fast metabolism or some other problem.  But since the DR said there's no medical reason, I am just guessing it's metabolism.

So no more cardio.  No running.  Just drop it.

When I bulk and I was 135 lbs as well.  I don't do cardio.  None.  Zero.  No hoops, no bike.  The most I will do is walk around the block.

2:  Anthony Ellis Weight Gain Interview.  Click here to sign up now.  You get a cool PDF at the end and it tells you 15 things you can do now (or a checklist so to speak) to gain weight.

Those are my first 2 suggestions that you can do right now.

also what's a good supplement to stock up with?

Forget that.

Other then a good protein shake (for protein requirments) forget supplements.

Here's why.

The hour, the minute, the second you quit taking it for whatever reason (forget to re-order, money) it's over.

You'll lose that weight.

Sure you might gain with a weight gainer.  But when you quit taking it you will lose that weight.

So forget that stuff and focus on the diet.  Bottom line, you are going to have to figure out how many calories you need a day to gain weight and then EAT that.  And track it.

And eating you can do everyday as a life style.  Taking 3 weight gainers every day for the next 40 years is not.

So get your weight with foods.  If you can't gain 15 lbs with a solid mass diet then no supplements will help you.

Once you can do that with foods, then bring this question up again.  Smile

Sounds really confusing. I wish I just had a tiny bit a chub to work off and be at a good weight with weight to turn into muscle. I'll look into that site. Thanks for the information and advice.
