well if you read what 8pack had to say you would know just about everything you need to know. Remember to work out your whole body, and wheb weight lifting you should use enough weight to where you can only do 8-10 reps ( usasualy 3 to 4 sets) And don't forget to have a spotter! So many people get injured everyday from weight lifting and you can reduce injury by stretching, useing proper form, and haveing a spotter. I am also bulking up right now and already have gained 5 pounds. Hope yours is going well.

Hey... What is your exercise experience...1 year, 1 day??? You want to gain muscle. You only need to eat enough to put on muscle. The rest that you don't burn is stored as fat. As stated above...Train the whole body. I can recommend when I know your exercise history a bit. Your workouts need to be unfamiliar to your body. As long as it has to adapt, it will keep growing...within the limits of posibility..which we know are huge! - Determine your Maintenance calories, don't guess
- Add 500 calories to that if you want growth
- Determine what the right mix of carbs, protein and fat is for your unique body
- Design a menu plan around this information, with healthy food choices to fill out your meals
- Determine your body fat % and keep track of it weekly or tri-weekly
- Follow your menu plan
- Train smart and intensley
- Keep a journal of training and things you do different from your meal plan..as well as how you feel each day
- Make changes as needed to keep in a calorie surplus and keep the training intense enough and varied enough to maintain growth...changes as needed
- If you are gaining muscle and too much fat...make diet adjustments
- After trying dietary adjustments...If you seem to have to gain the fat along with the muscle no matter what, add a small amount of cardio, say 3x 20 minutes weekly to keep it at bay.
OK?
