Hi I really need some advice. I am 14 years old and 182 pounds with the height of about 5 10 1/2. I have a lot of muscle on my arms and legs. Though unfourtnatley I can't get rid of some of the fat on my chest and stomach. Also I'm not very strong, and my diet is horrible. I know a lot about different excersises and things, I just need to lose fat and replace it with muscle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. - RPB

No honest clue. I know I can curl around 55 (not max) and that I can bench 95 pounds for a max. I don't know how much my deadlift max is, but I do know that I can do 60 easy.

In order to lose fat, you need to find out what your daily maintainance calories are suppose to be and slowly start deducting until you're losing about 1lb per week. This is usually around 500 cals minus your maintainance. Do a search on the site on healty eating... plenty of good articles that can be lots of help.. Here'a good 3 day routine to get you going.. quote:

along with a good workout you need to do cardio and have a good diet as well as get 8-9 hours of sleep a night inorder to lose the fat that you want. to lose weight you simply need to burn, use, more caliores than you take in. say you eat 2000 caloires a day you need to burn ~2200 caliores inoder to start to lose weight. just waking up in the moring and watching TV you probably burn 1200 caliores. if you bike to school or walk, have a PE class at school then workout after school or at night then you can burn over 2000caliores a day, with hardwork mind you. i'd recomend a high fiber with lots of fruits and vetatables. theirs a nutiran section on this site for good recipies and stuff. but eat whole grains, beans(i love black eye peas) chicken, fish(tuna and salmon), drink milk. the basics. go to this website and click on "my prymid plan" enter your height, weight, ect and it will tell you what you should eat and give you recomendations. http://www.mypyramid.gov/ btw doing crunches and bench doesn't make you burn fat in those areas. a full body workout will help alot, circet training and combine with cardio, swimmming, running, byclying, and you will see results. remember you didn't gain all of that weight/fat in two weeks, so your not going to lose it all in two weeks. it will take serval months and a lifestyle change to see and keep results.
