Need some help with my training - Saturday, August 15, 2009 6:48 AM ( #1 )
The only real time I have to work out is in the early morning around 4:30a.m. I started working out in the mornings a week ago and I have gone every day since. I only work out about 45min with around 15min cardio and the remainder lifting. I am currently taking creatine monohydrate and just finished my loading phase. I am not taking anything else. I have been watching my protine and im around 90-100% on that. Is there anything I can do to kep working out in the morning without being catabolic and see gains. I have seen gains so far but I believe that to be the creatine load. I only have about 30min after I wake up before Im in the gym. Please help I am very serious about training. Thanks

creatine is the only supplement you're using?

are you even taking protein shakes?

use your creatine and dont buy any more. Buy a protein shake, something quick releasing.

What about BCAAs? By working out very early arent I catabolic and burning muscle instead of fat?

you should use BCAA's regardless of what time you train.

take your bcaa during your workouts.

I wake up at 4a.m. and im usually in the gym by 4:30 or so. If I eat first I always throw up after my workout.

I went and got some BCAA powder and L-Glutamine powder. So my curent supplements are going to be 5g Creatine, 15g BCAAs and 10g L-Gutamine daily.

5g Creatine, 5g BCAA, 5g L-Glutamine. Pre workout
5g BCAA, 5g L-Glutamine. Post workout
5g BCAA. Before bed

Does this sound like a plan? Critique it please

Also I believe I have a high BF%. Im not fat but I have alittle gut going on. Should I cut first while I workout then bulk up from there. Would I see my progress more if I could see the muscle I have from cutting?

I always have a small bowl of wholegrain cereal and a protein shake before i train in the morning - but I wait for an hour after I've eaten this - I'm not surprised that you throw up after just half an hour of eating a meal before you train - mind you, I don't have to get up as early as you do.

that depends on your body's needs. you could blend up some protein with fruits etc.
