Need help w/diet-hypoglycemic

Hi-new member here. Have been experimenting w/diet for a few years now,but can't seem to find the right combo's to keep my blood sugar from dropping too much. This got worse after the birth of my daughter who is almost 6. I'm running out of ideas on what to eat-can't eat oatmeal for example. Lunch is my worst time of day. If I mess up, then I'm down for a 2 hr nap. Salmon, cod, chicken, turkey, sweet potatoes, and most veggies work well for me. Thanks for any suggestions! Got to trim this bodyfat but keep the sugar levels stable!

Some people that experience Hypo, can maintain it with fiber. The oatmeal is an odd one, that you cannot eat it?? Are you sticking to large flake or steel cut, or are you using instant or quick oats, because their digestion times vary quite a bit. Things that don't cause a surge in insulin are what you are looking for, things like broccoli, spinach, beans and anything else fiberous. Perhaps you could try following a more glycemicly friendly diet, more like a diabetic. I realize these are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but the diet for both should be similar. Hypo's do not want to spike the insulin, and Hyper's don't want to have to inject the insulin. Keeping the blood sugar regulated as naturally as possible and avoiding the peaks and valleys is what is important. I am a Type 1 diabetic, and I combat insulin usage by 6 meals a day spaced about 3 hours apart. These meals fiberous carbs, clean protein, and healthy unsaturated fats, in about a 40-35-25 ratio. I hope this helps........at least a bit. Post workout is the only time you need a higher glycemic carb.
