NO Xplode and Ripped Fuel

Hello all. I'm just getting back into muscle building after a year of cardio and weight lose training. While cardio training I stayed off of supplements other than protein. I've been back muscle training for a month and started taking Ripped Fuel Extreme for added energy. I want to increase muscle size so I went into the nutrition store and they recommended NO Xplode. Is it safe and effective to take these together? I tried both today and didn't feel any different. Come to think about it, I never actually felt or saw any effects from Ripped Fuel alone. A couple of facts about my routine: I'm on the Max OT workout. I'm not on a strict diet. I just watch what I eat a little closer, but still like occasioanl breads, pizza, beer, and cookies (the good stuff). I work-out 5 days a week and do 20mins of cardio plus weights everyday. (I take the weekends off). My goal: I'm not really trying to compete, get abs of steal, or have >10% BF. I want big arms, shoulders, and chest (the stuff that sleevless shirts show) and increase my energy level.
