NO-Xplode review - Friday, August 13, 2004 6:15 PM ( #1 )
Hello all, I'm pretty new to this forum but I've been coming to the wesite alot lately, so I finally decided to join up. I have a review for you all on BSN's NO-Xplode. I've taken it for about a week now, the 1st couple of days I didn't really feel much besides the Caffeine. I think there is a really large amont on caffeine in each serving. On training days I wake up and take 3 servings like it says which is alittle over 60mg. Some days I do experience some stomach discomfort but nothing I can't handle, once I get to the gym and get my mind on the steel the discomfort goes away. After about 3 days straight of taking Xplode I started getting pretty good pumps that lasted pretty much all day, just make sure you drink alot of water, I got longer lasting pumps when I drank about a gallon of water each day. On non-training days, BSN says to take only one scope, like 20.5mg, which still gives me a desent pump that lasted all day. Gotta drink alot of water though. Over all, I think its pretty good, its not all what BSN makes it out to be, but its pretty good, I would recomment it for someone that is new to supplements. But besides taking the NO-Xplode every day, the only other things I was taking was my AnimalPak and having my Muscle Juice (protein shake) after my workout. I don't really train any harder than I did when I was eating two cans of tuna and a bowl of oats each morning before I went to the gym, so that "Train like a FREAK everytime" stuff isn't all that true, but it does wake your ass up in the morning, I mean, eyes wide open. Again, thanks to the Caffeine. I'm gonna write a follow up when I finish the product. So, look forward to that.

Is that 60mg of caffeine per serving or 60mg for all 3? I can see 180mg in pill form waking me up fast but not 60mg. You must not be an avid coffee drinker ;) hehe

no i'm not, i only drink water and milk (that is in my protien shake). anyway, if you try it, you will see what i'm talking about, but its not 60mg of caffeine, 60mg is 3 serving/scopes. i dunno how much caffeine is in it, try writing BSN if u wanna know.

I have a correction on this review for you guys, I said the serving size on a training day is 60mg/3 scoopes, but its actually 60,000+mgs. That makes more sense. Sorry about that.

I think you must be missing a decimal point, there's no way it's 60,000mg's of caffeine. That'd be the equivalent of 600 coffees or 60g of pure caffeine. Caffeine's lethal dose (the amount that'll kill 50% who take it) is 10g, you'd be taking in 6 times that amount.

no no no, 60,000mgs is the whole primary blend, not just the caffiene. Sorry for all of the confusion. Go to www.bsnonline.net and check it out.

RE: NO-Xplode review - Thursday, February 24, 2005 1:23 AM ( #8 )
Okay, so I have been taking the NO xplode for about two weeks. I usually put three scoops and a table spoon of creatine monohydrate in about 16 oz of water. I take it about 45 min before my work out. Every time I take it I get really sick to the stomach for my entire workout. I have not noticed any of the "hyped" up effects, even the first time I took it. Has anyone noticed anything similar or have any advice. I am almost to the point of just throwing it away

When is the last time you ate before your workout? I've had better results when I eat within 2 hours. Also I don't mix any extra creatine in with it although I doubt that's causing any problems. Try two scoops in some fruit punch Gatorade 1.5-2 hours after you've eaten.
1001, 1002, 1003. Ohh, it's a deep burn! It's so deep! Oh, I can barely lift my right arm because I did so many. I don't know if you heard me counting, but I did over a thousand.

I don't know what you're supposed to do but once I finish the jar I'm going to take 2 weeks or so off from it before I start again.

I've been taking NO-X since it came out. I normally take 3 scoops with Nitrix pre w/o and 1 scoop on non-training days ( 5-day split).
I also take Betalin7-EC and VNS Jacked. I schedule these supps at 2 months ON and 1 month OFF. Just my 4 cents.

Peace

My take - Saturday, March 12, 2005 10:46 AM ( #15 )
It took me awhile, plus a few dozen reviews to finally buy some NO-Xplode. I've been taking it steady for about 2 weeks now. The first day I took two scoops, went outside and bench-pressed my truck. Ok, not so much, but I do have to say this stuff is working for me. I've never once had an upset stomach. I eat at noon at my job, I take two or three scoops around 4 o'clock. I guess you would call that an "empty stomach", I don't know, but that's what I do. If it's psychological or chemical, I don't care because it's doing nothing but good. I'm going harder and longer on my workouts. I don't have veins popping out everywhere, but I'm getting a very good pump, with some vein-poppage. It's roughly 40 bucks, try it once, if it doesn't work for you, dont' buy it again. Everyone is different, I guess I got lucky, I'll keep taking it.

Just wanted to add in that I called BSN and asked about the caffeine amt in No Xplode. I was told that there are 85mg of caffeine per scoop. Thats about the same as a Redbull or the same as about a small cup of strong coffee.

First let me say.... WOW this thread was dead... as well as congrats on finding the search bar. And now I will correct a 4 year old post.

LD50 (50% lethal dose) is what it takes to kill lab mice 50% of the time. Not a human. Chances are you could take in more than the LD50 but why would you want to?

When these pre-workout supplements guarantee you a ''great pump'' I've never really understood it. I get a great pump anyway.

Anyway No-xplode is great for getting you jacked (caffeine, *cough*) but it tends to fade after a few sets hence the reason I prefer Superpump 250.

Good review.  I order some Superpump 250 cuz BSN seems to be shady to me for some reason.  Ill do a review of Superpump.  Taking it to boost my sleep azz workouts after school.  I literall yawned during a bench press which kind of killed me if i wouldnt have ahd a spotter.

N.O. Xplode is an amazing product. I always used to have those days where I just did not feel like lifting, well not anymore. I am only 5% body fat so my veins already showed but taking N.O. Xplode has definitely increased my vascularity because my veins are enormous. Great pumps and I stack with straight up creatine monohydrate and GNC's Mass XXX which is the same thing as BSN's True Mass essentially except with even more calories and for half the price. The bottle might be right, I tried it once, and I may never train without it.

no explode is the f ing bomb. i love it mainly for the burst of energy it gives me prework out, the pumps are just a bonus. i tried it for the first time 2 years ago and have cycled on and off of it since. any one who says it doesn't work or it's crap hasn't given it a fair chance.

i try not to overdo it it though because i've read that supplementing argenine can damage your pancreas over time

i think 2 extremely overpriced bottles of the stuff qualifies as giving it a chance. Google the lawsuit they had against them referring specifically to NO-Xplode and Cellmass, and then tell me why its not more than a "sugar pill"

The lawsuit pertains to creatine in the product. I don't take no explode for the creatine, i take it for the energy and the pumps. I take creatine mono when i want creatine. for all i care some guy at bsn could fart in the tub and call it creatine i wouldn't know the difference. i do know i've used no explode intermittently for two years and when i 'm on it, i feel the buzz and i see the pumps.
