Parallel Squat 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X185 1X2X205 3X5X220 Military Press 1X5Xbar 1X4X85 2X5X100 1X4X100 Couldn't get that final rep. Rows 1X5Xbar 1X4X95 3X5X120 Pullups 2X4XBW Had to deload about 10 seconds for final rep. I might could have gotten that final press rep, but didn't wanna risk hurting my shoulder. It remains pain-free and I would like to keep it that way. Although my pullups are about the same, my weight is beginning to push 200 lb, so I'm essentially lifting 15 more lbs than I was a month ago, so I don't feel bad about not being able to add reps.

Parallel Squat 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X195 1X2X205 3X5X225 Flat Bench 1X5X95 1X4X135 1X4X160 --> Would have failed 5th rep 2X5X145 Deadlift 1X5X135 1X4X205 1X5X245 Been outta the gym for 9 days now, so I slightly dropped the weight, except for deadlift which stayed the same. My bench was the shocker. That 4th rep of 160 was a struggle and I barely got it. Kinda shocking, but I'm sure I will bounce back fast.

Squat 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X185 1X2X205 2X5X230 1X4X230 I bitched out on the last rep Press 1X5Xbar 1X4X85 3X5X100 Row 1X4X95 1X5X125 2X5X120 Pullup 2X4 No deloading Treadmill break-in Had to keep from increasing weight, because this is only my second workout in 2 weeks (for various legit reasons), so I'm not too upset about my performance. Squats were tougher than I was expecting. This little Indian kid (I mean LITTLE indian kid) beside me was quarter squatting 185 with the bar padded and practically on his neck, which was stuck straight up in the air, as his knees buckled inward on every rep. He just looked like a trainwreck waiting to happen. Time to cut (even tho it is the worst time to do it all year), but this contest is changing me. Idk why, but I'm getting into this one as much as I did the last. Today I hopped on the treadmill for the first time in quite a while, so I took it very easy. 12 or 13 minutes or so, not even 1.25 miles. Very slow jog.

First time in the gym in about 3 weeks. No excuses. Well, there is a reason, but it is no excuse... Squat 1X5Xbar 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X175 3X5X195 REALLY focusing on form, especially on keeping knees out during ascention Bench 1X5Xbar 1X5X95 1X3X135 1X5X150 1X5X145 1X3X145 How pathetic. I started way too high for taking 3 weeks off. Deadlift 1X5X135 1X4X185 1X5X225 Way too easy haha. I was expecting more of a challenge, but got absolutely none. Obviously a substantial drop in weight, but I wanted to get a nice work-in to get back in the rythm. Every workout I've done since I started this thread is in here, so you can see how I have been slacking lately. Plus I have finished most of Starting Strength, so I have been concentrating on key areas of technique I didn't pay attention to before. Here's to sticking with it this time...

You're actually keeping up with it? Haha. That's cool, I didn't think anyone was. It's good to know I had some kind of audience haha. Well, every single gym trip I have made since the start of this journal has been logged here. So that shows you how slack I have been. Today was the first day of classes, and I signed up for weight training, so that should put me in the swing of things. I looked over the syllabus, and almost every day we get to lift on our own, so it's basically a scheduled gym trip for me. I will continue to log my progress.

Squat 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X175 3X5X185 Bench 1X5Xbar 1X5X95 3X5X135 Deadlift 1X4X135 1X4X185 1X5X225 Forgot to clamp the plates and they were clankin' everywhere lol Okay, this is workout #1 of my new and revived regime. Well, nothing new really, but I will probably start adding exercises within a couple weeks. No improvement in weight, but it has been a few weeks since I lifted and I didn't want to get too sore, or else I wouldn't be able to lift on tuesday. Wish me luck...

Good luck getting back on your school schedule. I have read about Starr's routine, but I haven't reached intermediate level yet, so I haven't considered it. I might try it once I stall, but I'm not sure yet. I just ordered Practical Programming on Amazon (was ordering a textbook for a class with my mom's credit card, so I figured I would throw that in there too :) so I will see what that book has to offer and I will conjure up a routine. My next big concern is learning the power clean and getting more flexible so I can do it correctly.

thanks, yeah i want to work more on my power clean as well. i read that working on front squats will help with the racking position in power cleans, if thats what u mean about improving flexibility. i have been working on them on my week off a bit, and thats where im a bit inflexible at the moment.

NOTE: Didn't work out today although I really wanted to. The lactic acid buildup from Sunday is just too much. My entire posterior chain is aching. Even tho I love the feeling of it, I had to sit today out. I tried doing pushups last night and quit after the second one because of it. I will continue on Thursday. Yeah, I was talking about flexibility for the rack position, ed

Squat 1X5X95 1X5X135 1X3X175 1X2X185 3X5X195 Adductors still weak. Knees were coming in on last set. Press 1X5Xbar 1X3X85 2X5X95 1X4X95 Failure Row 1X5X95 3X5X115 Too tired to do the power cleans, or pullups for that matter. Wanted to puke after lifting cause I had no energy to begin with. On the plus side, there's some very good looking females in my class. Nice Oh yeah, and also, I was working on racking flexibilty after lifting, and I just cant do it. It's so hard for me to get the bar in the right position. It might have to do with my crazy long arms.
