Mystic Tan - Thursday, June 19, 2003 6:45 PM
Well, I just got back from my first Mystic Tan. It was actually very interesting... a little scary though!

The lady across from me in the waiting room kept stressing how important it was to apply the special lotion to your cuticles and under your nails or else it would look like you had dirty nails... well that' s a little scary!

It takes between 5-10 minutes to prepare... basically putting the lotion on your feet and your hands. Then you put on your shower cap and step in the booth.

Another tricky part is wiping the tanning solution off. You have to make sure to get inside your ears, in your belly button, between the toes... everywhere. Or else you will have dark spots. So far I think I did an ok job... I' m just waiting till tomorrow to see where I screwed up. The girl that helped me said no one gets it perfect the fist time.

Looks good though. Can' t workout for the next 4-6 hours because the sweat will remove some of the tanning solution. But a definite must for contest preparation.

Sorry, my picture will never appear on the net (or I will never be the one to put it on the net).

An update so far... I put the lotion on incorrectly on my hands. I ended up putting a little on the back side of my hand (around my fingers) so I have tan lines. Not too noticable... it' s actually kind of neat because I can see how tan I really got. Mystic Tan is pretty damn cool!

Then how can we really tell if you are tan?

Post, post, post....

Sounds intersting though. And a lot better then swabbing stuff all over yourself with a paintbrush and ending up streaked and stuff.

I've never seen anyone dark enough from a natural tan that they were ready to step on stage. At least not of the caucasion persuation...
