My shoulder injury and a warning for people so it can be prevented! - Wednesday, December 03, 2008 2:25 PM ( #1 )
Basically, both my shoulders have instability.

My left shoulder's cartiladge is cracked and distorted, thus causing pain and instability.
My right one has yet to be diagnosed properly (waiting on the results of an MRI scan) but as i was being injected by x-ray guidance, the doctor commented on how screwed my bone is on the "ball" of the "ball and socket joint" of the shoulder.

Both these injuries both the shoulder specilist and myself (after agreeing with him :P) that it was incorrect form of my benchpress and possibly other chest exercises (where the shoulder is used as a secondry stabilising muscle) that injured me, around the time of me first starting to train (16 years old).

So i just want to tell everyone that FORM IS EVERYTHING, not only for great muscle development but for injury prevention!!

I am having surgery on the left shoulder on the 16th December, ****ting myself at best =[

I wish everyone the best of health in their journey to achieving whatever goal you have set yourselves.
