My progression! Before and After Pics - Tuesday, February 26, 2008 3:31 PM ( #1 )
Ok,I posted here a few weeks ago, be the start of Feb, I was adivised to start cutting then go for a clean bulk. So I dropped 800 cals from my diet and increased my cardio somewhat, carried on with weights as usual ( my intention was to lift as if I was bulking but eat for losing fat.

So average total calories are around 2,000-2,100. Eating clean generally the same thing everyday. I feel that I've made a little progress but nothing major. Cardio hasn't been to regular maybe 3 times one week twice another ( think I should add more- I sit on my ass all day working so until I workout I don't do much really.

My typical cutting diet is as follows ( please amend if I'm eating some bad foods or maybe add some for me?)

- meal 1
3 weetabix with ON whey mix water as milk substitute
Apple , peanut butter teaspoon

-meal 2
2 large eggs scrambled, 1 piece of toast
banana

meal 3
-tin of tuna
1 piece of toast

-meal 4
chicken, tinned tomatoes with garlic
brocolli, string beans, handful of pasta, or small potatoe

-meal 5 - before bed
ON whey with water
maybe a bowl of cereal with the whey as milk sub ( not always)

Before / 2/Feb

After Pics ( not much difference really, a little fat has gone from under my belly button, maybe I am slightly leaner not sure..You tell me please!)

—relaxed

My lats got a bit bigger since the before pics, I learn't a few new excercies to help build them which I'm pleased about.

What are peoples thoughts? I was thinking maybe doing 3-4 HIIT sessions a week, feel like my main downfall is not enough cardio to promote fat loss. What do people think? If HIIT would be wise how many sessions and for how long?

Thanks everyone, always appreciate the advice!

That's some pretty good progress for just a few weeks. Keep it up.

Can you actually see a difference? In terms of fat loss? That's my main aim at the mo.
Will post my routine also...Does my diet sound ok for cutting?

Appears I have only lost 2lbs So not too bad I guess, really going to up the cardio. I don't think diet alone is going to get me quick enough results. Generally I don't move all day apart from my workouts, I work from home so no need to walk anywhere...Me thinks cardio will boost things somehwat? what do you think?

2lbs in 2 weeks is good........try and lose weight to quickly your body may cannibalise muscle as fuel. 3 x cardio a week seems ok to me. Be patient its only been 2 weeks!!!! big changes take time.

Thanks everyone! appreciate the comments...Any pointers regarding diet? I feel it's pretty clean at the mo, only time it falls is when I'm at my girls house, they don't have the foods that I neeed plus they don't eat nearly as often as me too..so it's a bit hard! Might buy some protein bars for when I'm there..
