My body fat...

Ok ,this isn't so much a critique, I can already foresee what people will be saying.. Bulk Bulk Bulk. But right now that isn't of any interest to me. I want to get as lean as possible and slow bulk from there, adding clean mass wherever possible. Winter last year I bulked the wrong way and got fat. This time around I want to do it the right way. My end goal is to add an inch everywhere, very modest gains that I know are attainable and I'll be happy with. What you reckon my bf is? I'm 164/5lbs 5ft 10" 30in waist / 32in at navel I haven't really been going off of lbs lost more on inches lost around the waist, whilst maintaining inches around the arms, legs etc. Which for 8 weeks now have been good. At the height of my bulk waist was 36in. Arms where 13.5 in flexed now 13.4 right arm is half an inch bigger..so can say not muscle lost and just fat. Chest isn't pointy towards the nips any more which feels great. Cheers peeps... Pic below http://tthp.org/Photo.jpg

Like I say I get that I need to bulk. It's something that I will do once I'm leaner. I just want to feel comfortable with myself. My dad's always called me fat, I know I'm not in any shape or form but over the years it's really gotten to me, to the point where I've developed some kind of complex. I just want to gain lean lbs, so starting leaner will hopefully give a better muscle to fat ratio gain...Unlike last time I bulked I gained nothing but fat, I don't want that again. What would you advise I do from here... Up to maintenance? Keep some circuits or HIIT in there? I really want to see my 6-pack coming through, just once ha ha! Ripped I don't wouldn't complain about having a hot bod like yours :-) but yeah I get what your trying to say. I knew that before posting this.

I agree on the bulk, but if you are self concious about it it won't hurt to take it slowly, especially if you struggle to put on muscle and not fat. You look healthy but I would focus on putting on a bit of mass like they suggested.

Your dad has called you fat????? I don't think you are fat at all. Like the others, I'm gonna say BULK. Fat is burned IN THE MUSCLES so when you work out, you'll burn fat! Happy Lifting!

You are definitely not fat. your not super lean either, but im sure you have your reasons for doing what you want to do. Personally I would add more mass before cutting, and I have image problems with myself from being a little over weight back for a few years. I bulked up to 235, and I put on a lot of weight, but the muscle I have gotten out of it has made it all worth it. Like I said we all have our reasons. I would add in weighted decline sit ups to try to get those ab's to pop out when you lean down, and I would personally advise HIIT after your workouts and some steady cardio/jumping rope or even tabata/circuit training in the morning before breakfast. Good luck!
